2. Cottonwood Campground
The Cottonwood Recreation Area is situated on Lake Yankton's western bank, directly downstream of Lewis & Clark Lake and Gavins Point Dam.
One of the most well-liked recreation locations in the Upper Great Plains, the Lewis & Clark Lake area welcomes over 2 million tourists a year because to its abundance of outdoor recreational possibilities.

Access to the Missouri River downstream of Gavins Point Dam and a well-liked swimming beach on Lake Yankton are features of the nearby Training Dike Day-Use Area. Off of Toe Road, immediately north of Cottonwood Campground, is an RV dump station.
3. Rykens RV Park
Rykens RV Park is located on Hwy 52, approximately west of Yankton, SD. Nestled along the bluff, campers experience a sense of serenity and tranquility thanks to the established trees and vegetation throughout the park.
Campers can use the clubhouse to socialize with other campers, play games, and watch TV. There are handy restroom and laundry facilities in the clubhouse.

4. Nebraska Tailwaters Campground
Situated downstream of Lewis & Clark Lake and Gavins Point Dam, Nebraska Tailwaters Campground is an amazing camping spot on the Nebraska bank of the Missouri River.

8. Chief White Crane Recreation Area
Chief White Crane Park is a perfect place for campers because it has 146 campsites and 10 camping cabins, making it an ideal destination for group get-togethers throughout the weekend.
Visitors are free to enjoy a wide range of recreational options when combined with the amenities of both Lewis & Clark State Park and Pierson Ranch State Park, two neighboring state parks.
