Just by the Big Thompson River is the Rocky Mountain National Park, the only resort close to the Boyd Lake State Park keen on park entrance permits, especially during outdoor activities.
A Vast Look at Loveland Campgrounds
The Loveland Campsite has 170 premium tents filled with a huge space, a picnic table, big rigs, some small boats, and well-spaced RV sites with lots of tree cover for shade. This resort has the biggest tree canopy of any resort in Colorado! Sites range from $56 to $62, although Good Sam members receive discounts.
Loveland welcomes four-legged campers like Riverview RV Park; they require your pet to be kept on a leash when not in your car. Each site allows up to two dogs, with an additional $3 for each additional pet.
Pets cannot be left alone or unattended, and some breeds, such as pit bulls, chow chows, Rottweilers, and those deemed "aggressive" by the resort, are not permitted, especially in the quiet countryside setting of our family.
Dogs cannot accompany their owners to the swimming pool, playground, or other indoor places like Fort Collins by the Carter Valley Campground. There is an off-leash area where your pup can run around and play a great place.
A dump station on-site for a $20 fee, spacious facilities with hot showers, and a pinewood reservoir for outdoor enthusiasts. Laundry facilities and generators for portables, a fire pit, and RVs are available with easy access.
You'll never be bored at Loveland, whether you're busy enjoying the heated outdoor pool, oozing off in your sleeping bags, playing mini golf, enjoying the arcade, sightseeing at the wood carvings and gaming room even at an additional cost, or going to the clubhouse.

To-Do’s at the Loveland Sites
When you need to explore the on-site activities, eat good food at rest areas, or shop at the general store, several golf courses are nearby via campsite reservations. Local hiking, biking, horseback riding paths, cafes, restaurants, and fishing holes are also at the home community fireside RV Park.
Loveland Resort prohibits campfires and side-by-side camping. To wash your RV on-site, you must first obtain permission at secondary units. If you need to cancel your stay at this awesome resort, please do so at least seven days in advance at a convenient location.

Full hookups are available at many RV parks, including big hookup sites and back-in premium sites with affordable camping fees. Some sites at Loveland include:
1. Canyonside Campground
CanyonSide Campground, located in the Roosevelt National Forest, is a small family-run campground, one of the great campgrounds usually busy during effective November. The campground is set on 10 acres of land where you can enjoy everything the area offers.
Their lovely bungalows are snuggled into the mountainside, just a short drive from Eagle Campground. Providing stunning views of the wildlife and surroundings. Full-hookup RV sites and tent camping are also available. Hiking, off-roading, tubing, and more surrounding activities are available!
2. Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park™ Camp-Resort: Estes Park
Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park: Estes is just minutes from the picturesque valley town of Estes Park in Colorado. This Campground & RV Park in the Colorado Rockies and Roosevelt National Forest is ideal for your family to explore nature at its best! 3. Riverview RV Park
Riverview RV is a hybrid community, with mobile homes using 5th wheels at the front and the RV area in the back, shaded by huge trees at the north end of Carter Lake.
The property is in town and is served by city water and sewer by the Carter Lake Maintenance Team. The park is along the BNFS rail line, so you can watch train cars pass by leisurely via the wheeled unit.
The Yellowstone River is directly across the BNFS train line and there are numerous recreational activities in the Glendive area of the camping unit. (cycling, boating, hunting, snowmobiling, ice fishing, sledding, etc.) There is always something entertaining to do in the area!

4. North Shore RV Park & General Store
North Shore RV Park & General Store, located in Loveland, Colorado, provides full 20/30/50 amp water and sewage sites as well as cabin rentals for those looking for something a bit different.
Laundry facilities, a fire ring/grill, trash services, a general store, and a fire pit are just a few of the amenities available. Spend the day outside doing things like kayaking, hiking, canoeing, stargazing, water skiing, and animal viewing with daily entrance permits.
5. Peak to Peak RV Park
The Peak to Peak RV Park is a modest, rustic RV park in the laid-back Colorado town of Nederland. Travelers can expect convenient access to local services such as coffee shops, gas stations, small-town cafes, and historic structures just off Peak to Peak Highway.
Despite the bad weather or during heavy rain, a phone call would still go through here. Unprecedented rainfall has some measures put in place around the gorgeous surroundings with proof of daily permits.
Activities at the campground, include hiking, biking, fishing, sightseeing despite the gravel road conditions, and dining at nearby establishments with a credit card.
With grocery stores, restaurants, gift shops, liquor stores, and laundromats within a few blocks of the RV park, visitors are guaranteed a comfortable, distraction-free stay. Water, power, and sewerage hookups are available on-site.
6. Gordon Creek RV Park

Activities at the Loveland Campground
As the temperatures increase, noise levels increase, the light shines brighter, and the days grow longer, consider the various outdoor activities available in Loveland, from kayaking and swimming to hiking and riding.
1. Walk through Benson Sculpture Garden
Benson Sculpture Garden, a picturesque 10-acre park with 170 sculptures by world-renowned artists on acres of public land, offers the best of both worlds: art and nature.
The park was built with revenues from the yearly Sculpture in the Park (now postponed until 2021), one of the country's finest outdoor juried displays of three-dimensional artwork.
This is a public asset and a fantastic leisurely walk or picnic spot. Along with its local reputation, the sculpture park has been named one of the world's most notable modern and contemporary art places. It's open all year, and there's no admission price, so check it out the next sunny day!
2. Go for a hike in Devil's Backbone Open Space.
Wildflowers, red-tailed hawks, expansive acres of public lands. The natural retreat is a haven for local outdoor enthusiasts and tourists wishing to connect with Colorado's wild side.
Come mountain bike, hike, or run across the 2,198-acre open area and take photos of the beautiful scenery! In the spring, the 4.3-mile out-and-back track is adorned with stunning wildflowers and is ideal for walkers of all levels.
3. Swim, kayak, or stand-up paddleboard at Boyd Lake State Park.
Boyd Lake State Park has a lot to offer. There’s a whole guide to this vast park, complete with information on boating, swimming, bicycling, hiking, paddleboarding, camping, fishing, and other activities.
You may go to Boyd Lake State Park for outdoor pleasure. If you want to spend the day on the water, the park is a haven for water sports, including swimming, kayaking, fishing, paddleboarding, and other activities.
4. Have a picnic in Mehaffey Park.
This 64-acre park features some picnic spots, an arboretum, a leisure trail, a 9-hole disc golf course, and much more. Like Boyd Lake State Park, you could spend all day in Mehaffey Park and still need to see everything the park offers.
If you want to have a tranquil picnic while watching the busy activities of this popular community park, there's plenty of grass to lay your blanket on.
