4. Hidden Hill Family Campground

The Crystal Creek campground has two hidden spots by Crystal Creek, not far from Crystal Creek Falls and the James K. Carr trail to Whiskeytown Falls. It's closed in the winter. To get there, you'll take a steep dirt road.
The sites have lots of shade and come with a bear-proof storage locker, a picnic table, a lamp pole, a fire pit with a swing-arm BBQ grill, a view of the lake, and a shared toilet that's accessible for everyone. Each spot can have up to six people and two vehicles.
