Perched atop the Kentucky Riverbank, this tranquil park offers a beautiful vista of the well-known KY River Palisades, which feature waterfalls and shear rock formations.

Abrams Creek is not so much a commercial campground as it is a nature park. There are no loud devices, generators, or other distractions that could take your attention away from enjoying the sights and sounds of this pristine natural setting on our campground.

There is seldom a sense of crowding because to the thoughtful spacing between the cabins and campsites.

There is a wild whitewater creek that borders the campground's 20 acres of hemlock forest. Some spots are perfect for playing or watching; they have boulders, pools, and turbulent water.

Near the end of the campground, there's a sizable area that's quiet enough for kids to wade in (under adult supervision, of course), and right beyond it's a deeper region that's between 5 and 7 feet deep, perfect for swimming.

The Historic Cold Sulphur Springs Campground was a thriving resort that attracted visitors from far and wide when it was established, at least in the middle of the 1800s.

More than 250 people frequented the resort during its peak, when they would frequently stay all summer to play croquet and take in symphony performances at the hotel dance hall.

When they arrived at the Goshen train station, they would be served ice cold lemonade and transported by horse and buggy to the resort.

Visitors to Cold Sulphur Springs, particularly medical professionals, credited the water's miraculous healing properties, urging people to visit and prescribing it as a remedy for a range of illnesses.

Even the Goshen Land and Improvement business advertised that "leading physicians and chemists pronounce the Cold Sulphur Springs to be the finest water in the state" in an attempt to draw tourists.

We have statements to that effect from eminent medical professionals in the north and south in our possession.

Go live with them! They are located at the Historic Cold Sulphur Springs Campground, which is tucked away in the sleepy Virginian hamlet of Goshen.

They provide daily and seasonal camping options for both RVs and tents. The dates of their camping season are April 1 through December 31.

Their campground is a great place to go fishing and hunting because it offers access to acres of woods and a stunning, immaculate pond. Hunting, fishing, and hiking are the activities.

Nine acres of campgrounds and routes through the woods connect Perry Backwoods to the Perry State Forest's riding trails.

You may ride your APV directly from the campgrounds into the riding trails, eliminating the need to tow and drive! Hiking, hunting, and off-roading/ATVing are among the activities.

9. Logan's Gap Campground

Situated in Ripley, Ohio, along Eagle Creek in the Ohio Valley. Logan's Gap is a campground that welcomes families.

They provide 30 amp water and electricity hookups at their RV sites. AVOID WHOLE HOOK-UP sites. In addition, there is a disposal station close to the park's entrance.

They provide basic tent camping in addition to 100 seasonal sites and 22 daily sites. We have a season that lasts from May 1 to October 31.

Shower house, laundry room, swimming pool, playground, party barn, fishing pier (owners must possess an Ohio fishing license), mini-golf, and lodge with store (which sells ice, propane, snacks, drinks, and basic personal care goods) are some of their amenities.

For more than 40 years, Back 40 Campground, which is situated in northern Logan County, has been a part of Ohio's outdoor culture.
