Their property boasts an incredible array of wildlife. From deer resting in their front yard to opossums, a variety of bird species (over 600!), and even charming armadillos, you will have the chance to experience the wonders of nature up close.
For a fee, they offer kayaking on the property, and guests can also enjoy their beautiful Hammock Garden free of charge to unwind and take it very easy. Texoma Water Taxi is just a text away from you, ready to provide guests with rides to many lake destinations, which include restaurants. If you are up for it, Rock-N-A Ranch, offering horseback riding, is approximately twenty minutes away.
Their cabins and campsites are conveniently situated within walking distance of each other but positioned to provide a sense of privacy. Although we have a nearby neighborhood, the thick woods prevent you from seeing or hearing them.

2. Camp Carmel Valley
Carmel Valley, CA
The Camp was started in the year 1925 by Mrs. Douglas as a girl's camp to teach young girls the beautiful wonders of the outdoors, including horseback riding, swimming, archery, as well as camping.
She felt that boys had plenty of good opportunities to explore Mother Nature, but girls had no such camp to attend at the time. This 115-acre, beautiful, rolling hills ranch has been a camp ever since and now offers camping for the young and old, girls and boys, families and singles, you can name it. Camp Kippewa for Girls, is located on beautiful Lake Cobbosseeconte in Monmouth, Maine, and has been in operation as a residential summer camp since 1957. Before their property became a summer camp, it was just known as Kippewa Kamps - a hunting and ice-fishing retreat established in the early 1900s! Many of their cabins and buildings are original to the property but have been updated all through the years to accommodate more modern comforts.
Their beautiful waterfront & towering trees, coupled with the amazing activities and accommodations on site make Camp Kippewa the worthy place to spend some time with your family and friends!

Kismet, Kansas
This very property has been in the Wettstein Family for so many years. Many people grew up on this property and have lived on it for 64 years. Wendell Wettstein built the barn in 1948 to hold livestock and also to have a dairy.
Linda and someone else have raised all their children in this place and now bring their grandchildren out to visit. They are a crop-producing farm and run a pheasant hunting lodge during the hunting season. This would be a place where you can come out to relax for as long as you want.

10. Drifting Meadows
Tellico Plains, Tennessee
This is another great one! Drifting Meadows is a small community located just shy of three hours from Atlanta. Nestled in the Tennessee mountains. It is not far from Chattanooga and Knoxville. Primitive camp spots "with community campfire" are available with quick access to nearby waterfalls, a lake, and a lot of hiking trailheads.
You can also get into town to see for yourself live bluegrass bands on the weekends or stop by the local bakery for some amazing fresh food selections. They provide firewood and portable toilets.
It is important to note that they are off-grid so it is cool that you use all degradable products if possible. (shower supplies are all provided). Also, they do request that any trash/recycling products be taken with you when you leave.

Maryland Health Society is one of the USA's oldest clothing-optional resorts and campgrounds. It was established in the year 1934, they are 100% not-for-profit and 100% volunteer-run.
This place has 98 secluded acres of wooded beauty, which includes cabins, RV sites with 50amp service, tent sites, swimming pool, a clubhouse with a kitchen and complete restrooms, a BBQ pit, five outdoor showers, and 7 miles of hiking trails.
Bordering the Patuxent River, they are 10 minutes from Washington, DC. They host many large fundraising events every year. They are in a rustic setting, and they offer total acceptance. They are known to be a 100% AANR Club.

You will be filled to the brim with glee when you discover Lolo National Forest. Seriously, this is the kind of place you can stand with your feet in a crystal clear stream, bighorn sheep filling the meadow, with the sun setting at the back of snowcapped mountain peaks in the distance.
And that is just a roadside pull-off! With more than two million acres to explore, hikers, bikers, and backcountry seekers will be stoked on the supa-lush forest and trails like Cougar Peak Lookout and the Lolo Peak trail.
There is a boat for a day in Seeley Lake. Alternatively, you can cast a line into pristine mountain streams for a try at the trout. Dinner is going to taste great over the campfire! Through the meadows or up the peaks, it is very easy enough to get your share of adventure at Lolo.
