The Arrowhead Campground is located in the Badin Lake Recreation Area, which is the center of outdoor activity in the Uwharrie National Forest in central North Carolina.
Both RV and tent campers can enjoy a comfortable stay at the campground thanks to the range of sites available. The facility offers year-round hiking, off-road vehicle riding, horseback riding, mountain biking, fishing, and boating with convenient access.

Are you trying to find somewhere to rent? Our Loft Cabins can accommodate four people, our Deluxe Cabins can accommodate six to eight people, and our basic Camper Cabins can accommodate six people.
Numerous recreational activities are provided by the tennis courts, basketball courts, and two heated swimming pools. In addition, we have a playground for the youngsters, mini golf, horseshoes, and a sand volleyball court.

Come camp in our rustic Area, where most rustic sites have electric service and each site has a picnic table and fire ring. The surrounding woods create the ideal setting for ghost stories.

The Arrowhead Campground is situated in southwest Ohio's Darke County, only one mile off State Route 121 and nine miles north and south of New Madison and New Paris, respectively. Are we still unsure of our position? Simply adhere to these simple directions.

Arrowhead Campground restrooms are immaculately tidy! For your convenience, we even have a laundry room (though we won't hold it against you if you decide to avoid doing chores while on vacation).
There are always activities to keep you occupied, such as reading a book from our library and lounging by our pool, playing bingo, or organizing a volleyball or corn hole competition with other campers.
Everything is up to you! We also hire out our campsite shelter for big events like family get-togethers. Their fantastic playground, basketball court, four-square area, and game room are guaranteed to delight the kids!
They cordially invite you to partake in one of our two stocked fishing ponds (catch and release) as fishing is a popular American pastime.
If you catch the big one, you'll have enough of stories to share! Pets that are calm and friendly are welcome at the campground, however, we do ask that you pick up after them and keep them on a leash at all times.

What You Should Expect at Arrowhead Campground
There are 48 tent and RV camping spots at Arrowhead Campground. There are only tent sites #46–#49. All locations are accessible to individuals with impairments, except site #23.
Every location features a fire ring, grill, lantern pole, parking spur, and table. There are six drinking water spigots/hydrants scattered across the campground.
There's a bathhouse with hot showers, sinks, and flush toilets. If you would prefer to be alone, there is a family restroom at the front of the bathhouse. The campground is encircled by a paved bicycle/walking route of 0.75 miles.
At the campground's entrance is where you may find the fee station. There is a dumpster and garbage cans available for you to properly dispose of your rubbish.
On the other side of the pay station is a dump station. You can pay with cash or a check made payable to the USDA Forest Service. Within 30 minutes after selecting your campground, payment must be made.

There are about 17 miles of motorized off-road vehicle routes and about 40 miles of non-powered trails for hiking, equestrian riding, and mountain biking. Big game and small game is hunting on the neighboring territory.

Directions:
Proceed on Hwy 109 N from Troy, via Eldorado Outpost, to Mullinix Rd. Take Mullinix Road to the left, and proceed beyond Badin Horse Camp. After 1.8 miles, turn right onto FR 544 (McLean Creek Road).
At the stop sign, turn left onto FR 597 (Badin Lake Road) and continue for 0.6 miles. The campground entry is on the right when you turn right onto FR 597B, also known as Cove Road. However, with all being mentioned, it could still be a walking distance to some people.
Reservations:
Reservations can be made by phone at 1-877-444-6777 or online at www.recreation.gov. They can be made up to 240 days in advance, but they must be made at least 3 days in advance. At the District Office, reservations are not taken.

Natural Features at Arrowhead Campground
The campground is located close to the 5,000-acre Badin Lake in a deep pine, oak, and hickory forest. Summertime temperatures are in the upper 80s and 90s with significant humidity, while wintertime temperatures are in the low 30s to upper 50s.
With highs in the 60s and 70s, the weather is nice in the spring and fall. Speaking of neighboring activities, a family-friendly day trip destination is the theme park, which is less than an hour away and features a mini golf course, zoo, and petting zoo.
